WRX Modifications

Hi Guys,
I had a
few (more) modifications done to my MY99 WRX by MRT on Friday, and I thought
I'd share them with the list.
…………………….
Anti-Lift
Kit
If you
haven't fitted one of these, do so! For
the benefit of WRX newcomers, the Anti-Lift Kit is a Whiteline product which
changes the geometry of the front suspension to provide more castor. The benefits are reduced front-end lift
under acceleration and better turn in.
It costs about $290.
Understanding
the way the kit works requires some study.
This made it harder for me to justify than a pair of sway bars, which
are easily understood. But I wish I had
ignored the blowhards and fitted one of these ages ago, with the sway
bars. Apart from better traction under
acceleration, I have a theory that the kit will reduce front tyre wear, through
keeping weight on the front wheels as well as helping keep them perpendicular
to the ground.
I hope
this information is useful to members.
Regards,
Mick
